I fell out with a guy at my local Orthodox Church so don't go to many services in this chapel, but I quite often set it up on the nights before the services. I really love doing this and it gives me a strong feeling of inner peace. A few nights ago I set the chapel up by myself in the evening and felt a strong combination of spiritual and aesthetic fulfillment and was inspired to take dozens of photos. The mellow light and rich furnishings offered a fascinating contrast as did the light and furnishings of the chapel with the darkened antechambers. It may seem ironic that I fear that we might stop using this chapel when simultaneously I rarely go to services in it, but I also feel close to Our Saviour when I help to set the chapel up.
